THE
EIGHT/Women in Need Now and the Park David Senior Apartments both believe that
residents of under-served communities can achieve economic opportunity and
self-sufficiency if basic needs are met and they are provided proper access, training/information
and support.
To
address
basic needs of Park David Senior Apartment housing residents.; Monday,
October 5, 2009, THE EIGHT/WINN will provide an Act of Kindness
Giveaway presentation of hygiene items (i.e.,
shampoo, conditioner) and initial application screening for additional
assistance through THE EIGHT Purposed Inspired Network Providers (8PIN).

Park David is an affordable 55+
housing property located in Cathedral City, CA. THE EIGHT was created in 2006,
as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. The Women in Now program helps to
provide basic necessities and access to services for low-income and
moderate-income residents of Riverside County. It is believed that direct
access to people in need will offer opportunities to explore innovative
solutions to eliminating poverty and creating a strong community. As a part of
the East Valley Guiding Coalition, THE EIGHT/WINN contributes pilot results to
the Fair Housing Council of Riverside County, community service providers and
organizations in support of the 8 Community Challenge.
