Californians must get better prepared before the next big earthquake, and also practice how to protect ourselves when it happens. The purpose of the ShakeOut is to help people and organizations do both.

Major earthquakes may happen anywhere you work, live, or travel in California. The ShakeOut is our chance to practice together how to protect ourselves, and for everyone to become prepared. The goal is to save lives and prevent disasters from becoming catastrophes.

My Stuff Bags Partnership
 
Recognizing the power of play to bring comfort to children in need, THE EIGHT/A New Beginning NOW Distribution has entered into a partnership with My Stuff Bags Foundation, a charitable organization that provides hope to children in crisis, especially those suffering from abuse, neglect and abandonment.  The new partnership will ensure that each year at least 200 children ages  0-17 will receive a My Stuff Bag filled with essential items including clothing, toiletries, handmade blankets and a toy.
