Building Community--Ending Poverty--Obtaining Self-Sufficiency...

THE EIGHT is a 501 (c)(3) Public Benefit Charity. Your Tax-Deductible Donation is appreciated.

March 7, 2009-Riverside, California

The African American Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame (AAESHF) a national 501(c)(3) and THE EIGHT a 501(c)(3) public benefit Charity based in Riverside County, have partnered to raise funds and awareness regarding the current economic adversities in the county of Riverside and surrounding cities.

In today's economy we are ALL "at-risk," however there are those families who make "JUST ENOUGH but CAN NOT qualify for traditional assistance" and "NOT ENOUGH" to become self-sufficient.

The AAESHF will collaborate with THE EIGHT to produce the 2009 Induction Ceremony in support of "BLISS County" (Riverside County without poverty).  Proceeds will go to THE EIGHT Programs (Women In Need Now, Families on the Frontline and Future Entrepreneurs Network Development), providing a range of services to assist low-income people in attaining the skills, knowledge, and motivation necessary to achieve self-sufficiency. The programs also provide low-income people with immediate life necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, transportation and health care needs, etc. In addition, services are provided for the revitalization of low-income communities, the reduction of poverty. Our partnership with THE EIGHT helps to improve and increase their capacity at achieving results and to provide immediate access and long-term solutions toward eliminating the lack of basic needs which attributes to social, physical and emotional stress and POOR CHOICES ending with illiteracy, homelessness, unemployment, imprisonment, recidivism, death and in due course, angst-ridden and indigent communities.
